The lentils of Castelluccio di Norcia are a culinary product with an ancient history, which have been cultivated since ancient times within the Sibillini Mountains National Park, between Marche and Umbria, at an altitude of about 1,500 meters above sea level.
Every year a limited and controlled quantity is produced and this makes it a refined and almost niche product. If you want, you can also find them inside the Christmas gastronomic baskets. The package has a weight of 250 gr.
Thanks to the rigid climate in which they are born, in addition to not being affected by the Tonchio, Castelluccio di Norcia lentils retain excellent nutritional properties and are rich in vitamins, fibers and minerals. Perfect, therefore, for diets rich in iron, potassium and phosphorus, they are low in fat and do not contain gluten. Finally, Castelluccio lentils are distinguished by their thin and tender skin, which directly allows cooking without soaking, greatly reducing preparation times.
