A millenary tradition of cheesemakers of Valle d'Aosta (Italy). Fontina DOP is a raw milk cheese produced by Valdostana cows over 2000 mt above sea level. Artisanal product made directly in mountain with fresh milk. The tase is aromatic, sweet but intense, variable according to the seasoning and pasture.
Available from March to September in the alpine version, in the remaining months available in the non-alpine PDO.
